Why are Journeys split differently from Dashboards?

Learn why a single user flow might appear as multiple journeys.

Journeys breaks up user behavior by conversion event.
Dashboards treat the entire user session as one continuous flow.

Example path:
A → B → C → Conversion 1 → D → E → C → F → G → C → Conversion 2

  • Dashboards see this as one journey with two conversions.

  • Journeys split this into two journeys, each focused on a single conversion.

That means the same page (like Page C) might appear multiple times with different roles (first/mid/last) depending on where it appears in each split journey.
