What is the Knotch score?

Understand how the Knotch Score is calculated and what it represents.

The Knotch Score is a blended performance score that combines three key dimensions of content success:

  • View Score (based on engagement)

  • Sentiment Score (based on survey feedback)

  • Conversion Score (based on tracked outcomes)

Each of these scores is weighted based on your account’s Knotch Score Weight settings, which reflect how important each signal is to your content strategy.

How it’s calculated:

  1. Each page receives individual scores for views, sentiment, and conversions

  2. Your account’s custom weights are applied to each of these scores

  3. The weighted scores are added together to produce a single Knotch Score per page

This score helps you quickly identify which content is performing best overall—based on your own definition of success.

📌 Tip: You can adjust the weighting settings in your account to align the Knotch Score more closely with your team's priorities.
