AIQ is where content meets intelligence—powered by your data and brand voice. This guide defines the features, actions, and terminology used in the AIQ workspace so you can confidently manage and create content with AI.

Optimize
Definition: Optimize is the AIQ capability that enhances existing content based on past performance data, target audience insights, and content best practices. It uses AI trained on your own brand and content history to refine headlines, structure, language, and keywords—especially for SEO and sentiment alignment.
Notes:
Uses diagnostic, engagement, and journey signals from Knotch to suggest improvements.
Tailors outputs to brand tone, channel, and performance goals (e.g., awareness vs. conversion).
Atomize
Definition: Atomize refers to the process of taking a long-form content asset (like an article, report, or video transcript) and automatically breaking it down into multiple shorter derivative assets such as social posts, email copy, CTA Cards, summaries, or quote graphics.
Notes:
Output formats can be preconfigured to match publishing destinations or campaigns.
Maintains original tone, style, and key message.
Ideal for integrated campaigns or content reuse workflows.
Compose
Definition: Compose enables the generation of net-new content from scratch. It supports structured workflows using templates such as blog posts, ads, summaries, or custom output.
AIQ Table Columns:
Title
Definition: the name of your AIQ-generated content.
Type
Definition: the category your AIQ content falls into – New, Atomize, or Optimize.
Author
Definition: the user who created the AIQ-generated content.
Status
Definition: the content’s current state, whether in Draft, In Review, or Approved.
Notes: Use this to track internal progress or workflow status. Can be filtered to surface content that’s stuck or needs stakeholder input.
Word Count
Definition: The total number of words in the current version of the content, updated dynamically.
Notes: Helpful for SEO targets or social truncation limits.
Last Modified
Definition: The timestamp of the most recent edit made to the content asset.
Notes: Useful for auditing, publishing cycles, and freshness tracking.
Atomize & Optimize (clarifying icons & buttons)
Versions – dropdown to access the different versions of your content.
Upload new version – Upload an externally edited version of your content to set it as the latest version. Previous drafts will remain, but this upload will become your current version.
Copy Link – Copies a direct shareable link to the content version so it can be shared across teams.
Reference content – when atomizing or repurposing your content, you’ll start with the original content. You can either select the content from Knotch, add via URL, upload via PDF, or type text.
Compare to original – displays a side-by-side view of the AI-generated content and the original source version.
Copy Content Text – Copies the full rendered text of the content to your clipboard for use elsewhere—email, CMS, docs, etc.
Delete – Removes the atomized content from the workspace.
Edit – Use the Edit text box for prompting AIQ to make draft edits.
