# Why are Journeys split differently from Dashboards?

Learn why a single user flow might appear as multiple journeys.

**Journeys** breaks up user behavior by **conversion event**.
**Dashboards** treat the entire user session as one continuous flow.

Example path:
**A → B → C → Conversion 1 → D → E → C → F → G → C → Conversion 2**

- **Dashboards** see this as **one journey** with two conversions.

- **Journeys** split this into **two journeys**, each focused on a single conversion.

That means the same page (like Page C) might appear multiple times with different roles (first/mid/last) depending on where it appears in each split journey.
