# How do I use Funnels?

Learn how to build, explore, and analyze funnels to understand audience behavior across your content.

Funnels let you track how users progress through a sequence of touchpoints or steps on your site—like visiting a page, visiting a tag, or completing a conversion.

In the **Funnels leaderboard**, you can:

- View all funnels you've created

- Check key metrics

- Use filters to view specific funnels (by date, device, referrer, etc.)

- Create a Lift Analysis to compare funnels

Click “+ New Funnel” to launch the **Funnel Builder**, where you can define up to 50 steps, set exclusions, and view completion logic.

Each funnel has its own **Dashboard** view showing:

- Funnel visualizer chart

- Step data

- Drop-off and progression

- Time and page steps between stages

- Live filters

Each Funnel also includes a [Drop-off Analysis](https://help.knotch.com/en/articles/164-what-is-funnels-drop-off-analysis.md) view — click into a funnel and select the Drop-off Analysis tab to see where users are falling out of the funnel at each step.
