# Do I need to do anything before the Tag Automation Service runs?

Checklist for ensuring auto tagging runs as expected.

Make sure:

- Your **child tag exists**

- All **new content is already loaded into the platform** (Auto Tags only apply to existing content at time of the run)

No other action is needed.
