# How do I disable Auto Tags?

Turn off auto tagging without losing your manually applied tags.

To disable Auto Tags:

1.  Go to the **Child Tag’s Settings**
    
2.  Toggle the **Auto Tags** switch **Off**
    
3.  Choose to either:
    
    -   **Remove all pages currently tagged**, or
        
    -   **Keep existing tagged pages** but stop future auto tagging
        
4.  Click **Confirm** to finalize
