# How to Configure Your Conversion Attribution Window

Step-by-step instructions for configuring your Conversion Attribution Window, including all available window options.

The Conversion Attribution Window controls how far back Knotch looks from a conversion event to credit the pages a visitor viewed. You can change this setting at any time from the Settings menu.

## Accessing the setting

1. In the left navigation, click **Settings**.

2. In the Settings submenu, click **Conversion Attribution**.

3. The **Conversion Attribution Window** panel opens, showing your current active setting.

4. Click **Edit** to change the conversion attribution window mode or duration

Once configured, the active attribution window is displayed in the filter bar throughout the platform. You can click it at any time to return to this setting.

## Attribution window options

### Rolling lookback window

Credits pages viewed within a rolling window that is calculated backward from today. The window automatically moves forward as time passes — you never need to update it manually.

**Available durations:**

- **Last 30 days** — Attributes conversions to page views in the past 30 days

- **Last 90 days** — Attributes conversions to page views in the past 90 days

- **Last 1 year** — Attributes conversions to page views in the past 12 months

- **Last 2 years (Default)** — Attributes conversions to page views in the past 2 years

**To configure:**

1. Select **Rolling lookback window**.

2. Under **Rolling Windows**, choose your preferred duration.

3. Click **Save**.

### Match event date range

Credits only pages viewed within the date range you currently have selected on the report or dashboard. The attribution window dynamically mirrors whatever date range you are viewing.

A page view must fall within the selected report date range to be credited for a conversion. If you change your date filter, the conversion data updates accordingly.

**To configure:**

1. Select **Match event date range**.

2. Click **Save**.

### Custom date range

Pins the attribution window to a fixed start and end date that you specify. Only page views within those exact dates can receive conversion credit, regardless of when the conversion occurred or what report date range is currently selected.

To configure:

1. Select **Custom date range**.

2. In the calendar picker, select your start date and end date. You can also type dates directly into the **MM/DD/YYYY** fields at the bottom.

3. Click **Save**.
