# How do I use the Tags section?

Learn how to analyze and compare content performance across different tags in Knotch One.

The **Tags** section gives you a roll-up view of content performance based on how you've grouped pages—whether by topic, campaign, channel, audience, or strategy.

Each row in the table represents a tag, and the columns show performance metrics aggregated across all pages using that tag.

### Default columns include:

- **Tag:** The name of the tag

- **Parent:** The top-level grouping this tag belongs to (if applicable)

- **Number of Pages:** How many content pages use this tag

- **Knotch Score:** Blended performance score across all tagged content

- **Total Views:** The sum of all page views across content with this tag

- **Unique Visitors:** The sum of all sessions that included a page with this tag

- **First Touch Visitors:** Number of sessions where a tagged page was the first page seen

- **Middle Touch Visitors:** Number of sessions where a tagged page was seen mid-journey

- **Last Touch Visitors:** Number of sessions where a tagged page was the last page before conversion

- **Average Time on Page:** Average time spent on pages with this tag

- **Average Scroll Depth:** The average percentage of page scrolled on tagged content

- **Average Exit Rate:** The % of users that exited the site while on pages with this tag

- **Average Recirculation Rate:** How often users continued on to another page after viewing tagged content

- **Conversion Rate:** The percentage of visits to tagged content that resulted in a conversion

- **Total Conversions:** The total number of conversions associated with tagged content

- **Average TTC with Tag:** The average time it took users to convert after engaging with a page using this tag

### Key features:

- **Search:** Use the top search bar to find specific tags

- **Filter by Parent Tag** to narrow your view

- Use top-level filters like **Date Range, Referrer, Device, Conversion, or Question** to customize your analysis

- **Customize columns:** Add/remove columns to fit your focus

- **Download:** Export your tag data via the CSV download button

- **Save Custom Views:** Save filter + column configurations for repeat use

- **Use Tag Manager:** Click the Tag Manager button to create or edit tags

- **Averages:** Access the Averages row at the bottom where you can view column averages. The averages will recalculate when filters are applied.

This view is especially useful for evaluating **content themes, campaigns**, or **strategic groupings**—so you can double down on what works and rethink what doesn’t.
