# How is recirculation rate calculated in Reports?

Recirculation rate is measured at the site level.

Recirculation rate represents the **average percentage of visitors who navigate to another page** after viewing any tracked page within the site.

It is calculated as:

Recirculation Rate (%) = ( Total visits − Total visits ending without a subsequent page / Total Visits ) x 100

If no filters are applied, the rate should be **0** when no page transitions occur.
