# What is data granularity in Reports?

Data granularity lets you group report data by a specific time interval.

Data granularity determines how your data is grouped over time, such as **daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or all time**. For example, if you want to review last year’s data broken down by month, selecting **monthly granularity** will organize your data accordingly.

Note that the available granularity options depend on the **date range** you select for your report.
