# I don't see the Conversion or Action I want to add to my funnel. How do I create it?

Learn how to create a new conversion or action to use in a funnel.

Funnels can use **existing conversions or actions** to define steps. If you don’t see the one you need, follow these steps:

1.  Navigate to either **Conversions** or **Actions** in the sidebar.
    
2.  Click the **\+ button** in the top right.
    
3.  Use the **Event Builder** to define your rules and match elements.
    
4.  Once you’re happy with the matching elements, click **Save**.
    
5.  **Navigate back to the Funnels** and add your new Conversion or Action in the Funnel Builder.
    

Please note that data for newly created conversions or actions typically appears **within 3 hours** after saving. Once the data populates, you can view this data in your funnel.

## What if my funnel contains an existing Conversion or Action, and then I change it?

If an existing funnel contains a Conversion or Action and you update that Conversion or Action, it will take about 10 minutes for the funnel data to update.
